i need to access remotely my mac but i dont have sharing enabled on it. i've an operator at the computer but i dont want to give him admin rights (or password) to enable remote desktop. is there a way to do it? I'm the admin of that machine.
The Machine is running Yosemite.
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)
What remote access is presently available, if any? ssh? If so, kickstart. If the box is bound to a domain and you have or can create a domain admin, create a temporary admin and use that. If no remote ssh access is enabled, then you're going to have to use either a local or domain admin password directly on the system, and — since you're clearly wary about doing that — you will also want to consider using unique passwords for each local admin account. (With no local admin and no remote admin access, you're basically asking for how to remotely root a box, and that's not a situation that anybody wants to have available.)
You could give him the password. Have him enable it. And then ones you remote in change the password.
Another option is have him give you access; And then you would be able to change the settings your self. For instance team viewer. That is assuming he can start it without an admin password. Keep in mind he could run a key logger. So you would still want to change the password remotely after enable remote access.
